Dr Jacqueline Spencer

Jacqueline has obtained a first class Honours Degree, a Masters Degree (Clinical Psychology) and a PhD. Her research examines facial emotion recognition among individuals who experience a poor ability to identify their own emotions and emotions in others (alexithymia). 

Jacquie is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) and is an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

She is a mother of three children, a martial arts brown belt and former instructor, and a fitness, exercise, diet and lifestyle enthusiast.
Jacquie has gained experience with a broad range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy or DBT, Psychodynamic therapy, trauma modalities such as imagery rescripting and EMDR, among others).

She adopts a broad approach that aims to achieve early symptom reduction, and also explores in longer term therapy the link between current experience and themes of the early attachment relationships.
Jacquie is also experienced in performing ADHD and Autism assessments.
Dr Spencer is a welcoming practitioner who is currently seeing new clients.
